Established in 2023, Voluntary Organization for Information and Community Empowerment (VOICE) is a registered society formed by a group of dedicated and like-minded individuals committed to the upliftment and holistic development of society. Based in Guwahati, Assam, VOICE works across educational, socio-economic, health, cultural, and rural development sectors with a mission to empower vulnerable and marginalized communities irrespective of religion, caste, creed, language, age, or gender. The organization actively promotes literacy, health and hygiene awareness, ecological responsibility, legal awareness, skill development, women empowerment, child protection, and the protection of the rights of elderly and disadvantaged communities through educational, technical, and community-based support initiatives.
Since 2021, VOICE has also been operating a digital platform focused on promoting digital literacy and amplifying the voices of Assam and Northeast India. Driven by a team of media professionals and social workers, the platform highlights important issues related to society, politics, culture, economy, tourism, business, technology, and community development while documenting stories often overlooked by mainstream media. Through impactful outreach, awareness campaigns, livelihood initiatives, and inclusive development programs, VOICE continues to work towards creating a more informed, empowered, and equitable society under its guiding vision, “Reach the Unreached.”
